Scherrer Patent & Trademark Law, was established in 2009 by its founder, Stephen Scherrer, an intellectual property attorney with over ten years of experience protecting ideas and brands.

Stephen has a wealth of experience preparing, filing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications in the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and internationally. In addition, Stephen counsels clients on patent and trademark searches and offers opinions relating to patent novelty and freedom to practice. Moreover, Stephen provides counseling on intellectual property issues, including filing strategies, trade secret protocols and licensing.

Stephen offers no-cost initial consultations and strives to understand his clients’ specific needs. He understands that each matter is different, and tailors advice and fee arrangements to fit the specific requirements necessary for each individual client. Over 30 business leaders attended the recent program entitled: Produce Development, Patent Protection & Strategic Licensing: Maximize the Value of Your Intellectual Property. Scherrer was joined by Keith Adams of Frontpoint Services and Alison Harkins of Harkins Law Group. The interactive presentation generated discussion of the advantages of patent protection, licensing and licensing strategies. Legal issues and strategies for patent protection were also reviewed.
